EOS 450D....my new darling..
|
|
30th April 2008 was the day. The day when I decided to take photography more seriously than I’ve ever imagined. The day when my first dSLR was bought…EOS 450 D. Though it was pretty expensive..for a beginner like me..I guess, but I’ve been thinking about it since a few months ago well after I joined FMDC, Malaysia’s largest photography community. Those inspiring photographs from dedicated and talented photographers do have some influence on my taking the very first step. Doesn’t matter whether they are skillful or not, I’ll always admire those who passionately indulged themselves in making a picture speaks for itself, telling the whole world stories without even uttering a single word. That’s the power of photography….
To my late father, I just want you to know that I’m taking over….though I should have started long..long time ago when you first advised me to do so. I still keep your Olympus OM-1, which was used to photograph me when I was little girl. I hope that my children will keep my EOS450D when I grow old one day.
Friends who have helped me and are still helping me to learn…thanks so much. It was great to know people who support each others and share their views in my newly found interests. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Cameron Highlands..dalam kenangan
|
|
A few old pics taken way back by my hubby in 2005 during our family vacation in Cameron Highlands. The pics have been touched-up in photoshop by adjusting hue/saturation, brightness, curves with white and black borders added in to make the pics stand out.

My Baby You.....
|
 |
|
Balqish
|
|
|
As I look into your eyes
I see all the reasons why
My life's worth a thousand skies
You're the simplest love I've known
And the purest one I'll own
Know you'll never be alone
My baby you
Are the reason I could fly
And cause of you
I don't have to wonder why
Baby You
There's no more just getting by
You're the reason I feel so alive
Though these words I sing are true
They still fail to capture you
As mere words can only do
How do I explain that smile
And how it turns my world around
Keeping my feet on the ground
I will sooth you if you fall
I'll be right there if you call
You're my greatest love of all
Arianna I feel so alive
(My Baby You - Marc Anthony)

Tg Lumpur in B&W
|
|
|
Just learned a few techniques in Photoshop today. The earlier photos at Tg Lumpur entry has been given a face-lift to add more vibrant colours to it, using Channel Mixer. But I still feel that the earlier photo looks more natural than this one.
Try in monochrome pulak;

Sebelum Cahaya.....
|
|
Penang escapade...Teluk Bahang beach taken at almost dusk, the day before the sunset pics (of the earlier entry) were taken.
Ku teringat hati
Yang bertabur mimpi
Kemana kau pergi cinta
Kekuatan hati
Yang berpegang janji
Genggamlah tanganku cinta
Ku tak akan pergi
Meninggalkanmu sendiri
Temani hatimu cinta
Ingatkan kau kepada
Embun pagi bersahaja
Yang menemanimu
Sebelum cahaya
Ingatkan kau kepada
Angin yang berhembus mesra
Yang kan membelaimu cinta
(Sebelum Cahaya - Letto)

Proud Mum Wrote....
|
|
As I was buying my daughter’s first skincare products for girls today, little that I realized that my baby girl is blossoming into a young lady already. The time just flew so fast as it seems only yesterday that I was carrying her in my tummy and having tough times surviving the 9 months pregnancy. Bringing her into this world wasn’t easy too that I had to undergo C-section after 12 hrs of labour pains.
Raja Kamelia bt Raja Ariffadhila will turn 10 this coming June. Besides being a class monitor, she is also a one of the top 10 students in her school, a librarian, and is very active in sports. My little princess is the school netball player, she is also a long-distance runner. She’s passionately involves in the school dance and theatre and was chosen to represent the country in the children folk dance festival in Sicily, Italy somewhere in December (don’t know whether I want to let her go or not). And most importantly, I am very proud that she would be finishing reciting Quran in the next couple of month.
These are her photos taken when she was between 3 months to 6 months old.
Kamelia - One month old, smiling all the way...

This is the result of the editing done to the photos using layers and curves in photoshop 7.0. The experiment was conducted on my teacher's favourite pics, Sunset#3 and Sunset#4 of my previous entry. OK tak Cikgu?
